SustainHer began with a journey of my own: As a service designer from Northern Italy, I witnessed the financial struggles of many women. A five-year experience at JPMorgan Chase exposed me to the power of finance, and a personal battle with cancer gave me a sense of purpose. This is how I combined my unique background to create SustainHer.
Why Figino
Nestled in the heart of Piedmont, Figino offers a unique strategic advantage as a hub for SustainHer's operations. Located in the province of Alessandria, Figino benefits from its proximity to key agricultural regions known for wine production and sustainable farming practices. Its central position facilitates easy access to nearby markets, resources, and potential partners, making it an ideal base for fostering grassroots innovation and economic empowerment within a close-knit community.

This decision became personal when, inspired by my closest friend's stories of her father's upbringing in Figino (AL), I invested in a property there. Spending time in Figino, I discovered a vibrant spirit of grassroots innovation and a compelling need to contribute. It sparked a vision: to transform this village into a social innovation hub, starting by empowering its most vulnerable women and their families.​
